IVMS is happy to announce the continuation of the After-School Program, (A-S), for the school year 2007-08. IVMS is not obligated to provide this, but does so as a courtesy and convenience to our families. Also it has become the vehicle for the after school specials offered to all IVMS students.

activities for participants IVMS/A-S continues the montessori day re-emphasizing grace, courtesy, communication, and consideration of others. Our A_S staff works closely with the classroom educators to bring about a total montessori experience each day. Through our A-S we are able to offer even more specials to Island Village Students. We anticipate the continuation of: Choraliers (choir), Drama with Venice Llittle theatre, soccer, French, art, guitar & piano lessons, chess, homework and study groups, Kindergym, etc. some of these are at extra cost. IVMS after-school is a totally pre-paid program. You may choose whether this will be a monthly or banked program. If you designate your account to be set-up as monthly: this gives you every day school is in session .Your child goes into the program at dismissal. a healthy snack is given and then either into a special or the program. Monthly a-s students receive a lower rate on specials. The cost for this type of account is $145.00 per month. We also offer a banked account. Tthis account is for those who do not want or need a daily program, but would like a few days a month. This will start with a check for $145 and drawn down at the rate of $12.00 per day. This initial payment can be used anytime within the school year. also, you will be asked to replenish the account when you have just a few days remaining. We also offer a once and a twice a year discount payment. If you are interested in either of these, please contact Jan.
