    Welcome to another exciting year with the IVMS After-school (IVM/A-s) program! We are excited to have our new families joining us.

    With the motto “Be Kind”, IVM/A-s continues the Montessori day re-emphasizing grace, courtesy, communication, and consideration of others.  The IVM/A-s staff works closely with the educators to create a total Montessori experience.

    The students are given an equal balance of exercising, socializing, healthy snacking, etc in addition to the activities and specials.  This is all made possible with the help and dedication of our staff.  Returning this year are the following: Whitney Carter, JoAnna Dabrowski, Kathy Schultz, & Jan Pearman. Also, there are many Educators and Specialist offering activities to our students.

    As so many of you requested, here is a general outline of the After-school program for the 10/11 school year.  IVMS After-school is available to IVMS families only.

    IVM/A-s is comprised of 4 different components and approaches. The price structure is organized accordingly. We have 1.The Monthly plan for those who want or need After-care daily. 2. The Banked plan for those who only need a few days a month or throughout the year.3.   Specials these are offered once a day for 8 weeks, with the exception of Drama which is a year long program. Paper work must be filled out for all of these. 4. For those who need help on an emergency basis with no paper work, there is a charge for that day.

    Through IVM/A-s we are able to offer even more specials to all IVMS students.   There is the popular Drama collaboration with Venice Theatre , The Choraliers (Choir), Soccer, French, Art, Piano,  Spanish, Yoga, Private Guitar & Piano lessons, Environmental Studies are only a few. Specials are available to all IVMS students.  Watch for the specials as they are announced and on the IVMS website.

    Welcome back to our returning families. To you new families, we welcome you to the IVMS Family. It is that time again; time to announce the beginning of Session I of the Afterschool Specials which will start the week of Sept. 13th and run through Nov. 5th.
