If we are not at the Green Sunshade, we are in the “Quad” (Large bldg. with the Logo) in Rms. 6 & 8.

You are welcome to freeze a water bottle and send it with your child for the After-school Program.

We will be doing homework everyday. If youwould like your child to do their work with us, please let us know.

2008/2009 Letter of Interest

“We‘re All in This Together”

IVMS is happy to announce the continuation of the after school program (a-s) for the 2008/2009 school year. Ivms is not obligated to provide this service, but does so as a courtesy and convenience to our families. Also, it has become the vehicle for the after school specials offered to all IVMS students.

IVMS/A-s continues the Montessori day re-emphasizing grace, courtesy, communication, and consideration of others. Our A-s staff works closely with the classroom educators to bring about a total Montessori experience each day. The hours for the A-s program are 3:30 – 5:30. Through our A-s we are able to offer even more specials to Island Village students. We anticipate the continuation of: Choraliers (choir), drama with Venice Little Theatre, soccer, french, art, guitar & piano lessons, homework and study groups, kindergym, tumbling etc. Some of these are at extra cost.

IVMS After-school is a totally pre-paid program. You may choose whether this will be a monthly or banked program. If you designate your account to be set-up as monthly: this gives you every day school is in session .Your child goes into the program at dismissal. A healthy snack is given and then either into a special or the program. Monthly A-s students receive a lower rate on specials. The cost for this type of account is $145.00 per month.

We also offer a banked account. This account is for those who do not want or need a daily program, but would like a few days a month. This will start with a check for $145.00 and drawn down at the rate of $12.00 per day. This initial payment can be used anytime within the school year. Also, you will be asked to replenish the account when you have just a few days remaining.

We also offer a once and a twice a year discount payment. If you are interested in either of these, please contact Jan.
