Montessori School is piloting a new program for Sarasota County kindergarten
age students. IVM Charter school (public elementary K thru 5th grade) and
IVM Preschool have joined together to offer this requested learning environment.
This program as it relates to Kindergarten age
children is designed for those who will benefit from:Education based on individual abilities and capabilities
- Kindergarten in a less rigorous setting
- Holistic ( whole child ) approach to education
- Oldest child in classroom setting builds self-esteem
and confidence
- Foreign Languages
- A loving, nurturing environment
- Tactile ( hands on ) Learning
- All early child Montessori teachers trained in kindergarten,
early 1st , and pre-k
- Computer Classes
- 3 year cycle allows for learning at own pace
* Free - no tuition for Kindergarten
- 5th Grade
This program as it relates to Preschool age children
has most of the same basics as stated above with the following :
- Allows 4 year olds an accelerated pre-kindergarten
program
- Younger children learn by exposure to advanced materials
- Traditional Montessori first three year cycle- 3,
4, and 5 year olds
- Home-setting with family atmosphere
