Middle School Program Admissions South Campus (Grades 6-8)

Our facility will be open in the summer of 2005. Call Jan Pearman at 484-4999, to find out more information about enrollment.

From May 4th through June 3rd, Island Village Middle School will hold a 30-day open enrollment period. Applications will be taken on a first served basis until enrollment exceeds capacity. Only if the number of applications exceeds the number of openings will a lottery be held, whereby each application is drawn randomly until capacity is reached.

Following the lottery, all remaining applications will be placed on a waiting list. Preference may only be given to staff children, already enrolled students, students coming from our elementary programs, and siblings of enrolled students.

If there is an opening for the current school year, your child can be enrolled immediately by filling out our admissions packet. Otherwise, your child's application will be placed on our waiting list. As soon as we have an opening, we will contact you. There is no tuition for admission to the charter school. We ask for a donation of $40.00 to cover school supplies that would otherwise be purchased like: scissors, pencils, paper, folders, etc.

If coming from another Sarasota County public school, your child's records will be transferred to us and will be listed under our attendance in the county student database. If coming from a private school, outside the district, or if your child has been home-schooled, further evaluation will depend on school district regulations.

The Charter School program will follow the regular Sarasota County School District calendar for next year.
