IVMS Does The Arts! |
 Personally, my favorite classes are part of the After-school Specials Program- drama and choir. Drama is a popular program involving Venice Little Theatre and a year end performance on the main stage. Students explore their talents in live theatre. I know for a fact that every member of drama loves the class! Most of the young actors have pursued their love for acting by taking classes at VLT as well. Students develop their love for music, singing, and performing in choir. Our Choraliers work hand-in-hand with drama giving support in musical productions as well as singing for the community. Where does all this hard work take us? Arts Day! Arts Day is an extravaganza held near the end of every school year. Staff and students show off their hard work. Art work is posted anywhere the eye can see. For the students involved in performing, presentations are put on for the whole school. Students experience what it is truly like on stage singing, acting, dancing, playing instruments, reciting poetry, speaking foreign language, giving a comedic act, or anything else the student wishes.  I would like to impart my personal experience. Singing is something I never thought I could do. I became part of choir and drama and found my self not only performing in front of huge crowds of people but enjoying it! IVMS has helped me find the love I have for performing and music. I’m not the only person this has happened to. Many students at IVMS have been able to develop their true skills as an artist. I personally want to thank all the staff at the school for not only educating me, but helping develop the skills I have in fine arts and in academics. THANK YOU IVMS FOR CELEBRATING THE ARTS! |
