IVMS Dress Code Uniforms are REQUIRED for students while on campus and when participating in special field trips and off-campus events sponsored by IVMS . We ask that your child wear an IVMS shirt with comfortable shorts, pants, skorts or skirts with shorts underneath and sneakers. School Shirts The uniform shirt may be any solid-color polo/golf-style shirt or solid-color t-shirt with the embroidered school logo on the upper, left side. Shirts may be purchased through the school from a local company or through Lands' End. See our page on ordering uniforms for more information. Clothing Students have a choice of solid or print on shorts, skorts, pants or skirts with shorts underneath. No commercial advertisements or cartoon images (i.e. Barbie, Pokemon, etc.) on clothing, shoes or lunch boxes will be allowed. In addition, hats and backpacks will NOT BE ALLOWED. Not only will this help us enforce the rule regarding commercialism, there simply is not sufficient storage room in the classrooms for backpacks. All your child needs is a lunch box, which can be safely stored inside the classroom cabinets or on a shelf. We will also ask you to purchase a type of folder that closes to send home school work or other pertinent information on a daily or weekly basis. Shoes Due to enforceability and safety issues, students will be required to wear sneakers every day. Shoes must be plain without flashing lights or other distracting designs.
